Since coming to the capital region in June of 1975, I have been privileged to serve as Senior Pastor of Sonrise.  Much has changed in the past 35 years.  My hair has gotten lighter in color, from brown to gray.  We have had 3 sons born here and they are now grown and serving the Lord around the country.  Our church has gone from meeting in rented buildings and sitting on folding chairs to having 15 acres of land strategically located in the southwest corner of the capital region with beautiful and comfortable facilities.

We have become the church we only dreamed about 35 years ago.  A church anchored in the teachings of the Bible, yet with ministries designed to meet the needs of families and individuals facing the issues of today.  We are fulfilling our original vision of "touching our community and the world from a local church setting." 
 
Let me extend to you a personal invitation to come and be a part of the excitement of what God is doing in, and through, the people of Sonrise.
